2008 is such a great year. I have made several major decisions, met new people and gone to new places. I also encountered problems, challenges and got new enemies hahahahah but through it all I am generally grateful for this year. There are several things I wanted to happen in 2008 and I feel blessed enough to see those things come true let alone turn to be better than what I have originally wanted.
Here are the things I am grateful for in 2008:

Our trip to Singapore is actually a sort of a gift to our son who celebrated his 5th birthday last October 30
Today is my son’s birthday. Parang kaylan lang, I was brought to the operating room of Brokenshire Hospital for a CS operation.
We had a dinner with close friends at Marco Polo to celebrate another year for hubby.
We celebrated father’s day in Campo Agua last Sunday and here are some of our pictures:
I love to shop on ebay and though I seldom go shopping, I can splurge on things like bags, shoes and pants. My favorite brands are benetton and guess. Recently, I have been hooked on buying the senselessly expensive havaianas flip flops. I also like havaianas over crocs.
I love Manila’s malls; the ube jam in Baguio City and the enormous longganisa of Ilocos. Malongs in Zamboanga’s barter center are good pasalubong. Singapore’s Songs of the Sea is the most spectacular live show I have seen. I love Davao’s peace and the food especially the sinugbang panga and kilawin.
I have always wanted to be a housewife even before I got married and I am thankful I am pursuing such path. I am a wife to a very patient and loving husband and mother to a wonderful and awesome son, Kulay.
I am in favor of divorce in the Philippines; do not find anything wrong with globalization;and street parliament is not my choice for solving crisis in the country.
I am a voracious blogger. I started blogging before blog monetization is introduced. I am an internet addict and a geek wannabe who can’t afford the pricey tags of apple iphone and gadgets. I also love to watch movies especially in theatres but you can never persuade me to watch dark and blurry pirated DVDs.

I bought Kulay a set of new books. There is this new bookstore here in TorilĀ and since I already get quite tired of re reading our big book of children’s stories, I bought 4 books of Aesop’s fables.

I accompanied my son to the Barbershop last Sunday so he would look presentable in school, His hair has grown long during the Christmas break. I like my son’s new hair better.

My brother Ian is grumbling about his luck early this year 2009. Earlier last Sunday, I received a text from him telling me that he had a car accident in Sta. Cruz on their way here in Davao City (my bro was with my sis in law and my pamangkin Kaloy).
It turned out that it was my brother’s fault (geeezzzzz, those with heart problems are not advised to have a ride in his car) and he was the one who hit the other car.
On the brighter side though, I’m glad there was no real harm done. I checked them while we were having lunch last Sunday and nobody seemed to get even a scratch.
Happy New Year to everyone!
2008 has been a bountiful year for me despite the economic fiascoes reported by the media and the internet. I wish 2009 will bring more blessings, peace and happiness not only to me and my family but to you as well.
Challenges and rough roads are inevitable but let us keep the fire of hope burning.
My mother in law has been complaining about her eyes and since her eye sight is growing worse each day, she decided to see a doctor yesterday.
I went to a clinic in San Pedro Hospital with Papa Macky, my father in law and Mama Auring, my mother in law yesterday afternoon. The doctor told Mama Au that she will have laser eye treatments for four consecutive weeks. I can’t remember what her eye condition is, it sounds too complicated but I hope Mama Au will have improved eye sight after the treatment.
