42.7. This is now the peso equivalent of 1 US dollar. Good news for the government, bad news to all Filipinos who rely on dollar remittances.

The government must be happy about the appreciation of the Peso but for people like me, the 42.7 exchange rate is a nightmare particularly because Christmas is almost here. My current online earnings are in dollars so you can just imagine how it will be difficult for me to tell others about the history of santa claus and gift giving when I only get a few pesos from the dollars that I worked for.
