7 Reasons Why This Blog is in Hiatus

Several articles in my travelogue series are left unfinished; the last time I made a personal post entry was like last month. I really want to fill this site with my write ups but I always find a reason to postpone writing. Here are my top seven lame reasons:

1. I always forget my site’s password. There have been lots of times that I was in a mood to write only to realize I just changed my admin password. The password is so difficult I often have difficulty recalling it.

2. I’m busy with my other blogs. I maintain several niche, adsense-infolinks- chitika–etcetera supported sites and sometimes, it feels more reasonable to update sites that actually help pay for my bills than update this blog.

3. I have nothing to write about. Why write long blog entries when I can just post my musings as status updates in Facebook or twitter?
4. I’m catching up with my readings. I’m fulfilling a childhood promise to myself that I’d be reading hard to find books and classics when I grow up. I’m just though with A journey to the center of the earth and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I’m currently reading The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe in hardback and The Lightning Thief (of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series) in my iPad. I already stacked up my ibook library with samples of new readables. I also hope to finish reading Alice in wonderland and Dracula by next month.

5. I became a busier mom. My son is already in grade one. From five subjects in kinder, Kulay has 9 subjects now. This means longer study times for him and his tutor, me.

6. I got addicted to Plants vs. Zombies. I’d rather make it to flag 20 in the survival endless mode than write a new blog post. At least I don’t have to be conscious with my grammar when playing PVZ than when I publish a post.

7. I often end up junking posts that solicit a–h— commenters. A year or so ago and as part of an SEO experiment, I posted articles that are often searched for by Filipino students: Philippine heroes biographies, Mga alamat, etc. I had to delete those articles later though because many students or their parents who were not satisfied with the length of some of the articles leave filthy comments in those posts. I wanted to post the worksheets I have been making for my son in this site but I’m afraid abusive and lazy students who want more may just leave demanding and annoying comments again.
