Let me describe this place in one adjective: Awesome.
Davao People’s Park is the best Philippine free park I have seen in years and I’m glad it’s just right here in Davao City.

We went to Davao Peoples park around 4 PM yesterday and we have to be in a queue to get inside the park. Nevertheless, the grandeur of the place is worth the wait. Note to the visitors: It will be preferable to go to Davao Peoples Park without loads of baggages and stuff. People with small bags are no longer required to fall in line for the bag inspection.
Too bad our visit to Davao Peoples park is unplanned. I should have brought hubby with me and of course, I should have recharged my camera well. (I ran out of battery while shooting the Davao People’s Park “dome”).
Here are some of the pictures I have taken at the Davao Peoples park yesterday:

Too bad the name “Davao People’s Park” is just blatantly plain and ordinary. People who hear the name might just think of Davao People’s Park as “just one of those parks”.

To whom this may concern,
First of all I would like to thank all the people behind this wonderful project. I was in Dvo. last 2009 and was really impressed what the city had done for the people. One thing I am wishing to happen that people will take care what the city had given you. I wish that cleanliness will be maintained because there are lots of things showing signs of deterioration. People should remind themselves not to step on flower beds and not throw thrashes everywhere etc. Due to lack of funds, we should maintain the environment ourselves and be responsible. You might think that it is not yours but it comes from the taxes you have paid the city…which makes it ours. I wish that the city will finish putting sand to fill in the bricks that they put up. I have seen a lot of loose bricks due to the above reason. THANK YOU CITY OFFICIALS AND WORKERS!!!!!!
