Debit card no swiping

My husband and I went shopping for our son’s new swimming pool (our third since Kulay was born) at the Toy Kingdom last week. When we are about to pay for our purchase via hubby’s debit card, the cashier seemed to have a hard time “swiping” the card. Later on, she asked us if we have used the card that day and since we said yes she told us that they have a problem with some cards because when those cards have already been used on the same day, they do not work with their card payment facility. Luckily we brought along some cash with us so we were still able to purchase our son’s plastic swimming pool.
It is unfortunate that these types of problem with card payment facilities emerge these days. People like us for example, find it more comfortable to bring a debit card than withdraw money from the bank and count the bills and coins when paying for our purchases.
As for Toy Kingdom, I hope their card payment facility will be fixed soon. People do not like the idea of not being able to purchase items because of “rejected cards”.
