Nintendo’s Wii has been receiving a number of endorsements since last year from health experts and medical practitioners. Occupational therapists, for example, has already acknowledged the benefits that stroke patients and elderly people can get by playing the wii. They say that playing wii can actually help patients improve their body balance and strength.
The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), on the other hand, has conducted a survey on exercise and video games and based on the result of the research, released word that playing the Wii nintendo can potentially help fitness experts in making their patients more active.
While playing Wii may truly have beneficial health effects, not everyone are able to own a Wii. Last December, many people have been looking to buy a Wii as a Christmas gift but there seems to be a shortage of it. Even the price of Wii is considerable and not everyone may be able to afford buying one.
