Several months, ago, I received a letter from HSBC Philippines offering me to avail of their Pay Easy Program.
According to the credit card company, the PayEasy Program of HSBC “allows selected cardholders in good standing to convert their total outstanding card balance on their HSBC card to installment”.

Honestly though, I think that HSBC sends this to people who they want to decrease the credit card limit (hmmpssssh!!).
I already have my HSBC payeasy account. Recently, I’ve been doing research about hsbc payeasy because I intend to pay the total amount I owe from HSBC soon.
The HSBC customer assistant I talked to last week advised me that I only need to request for a “recalculation” of the total amount I owe since I applied for a four year installment.
My goal for 2009 is to free myself of credit card debts. I may be a little late in accomplishing this goal because somebody in the family had a major operation late this year but I am looking forward to becoming debt free by January 2010.

so is it adviseabel to enroll at the pay easy program or not? tumawag din sila sa akin, problem is they are not explaining everything, i was asking the factor rate as the basis for the monthly amortization, but wasnt able to give kasi confidential daw. if they will not give the factor rate how are we going to compute if the monthly installment is correct,. in other bank, if you will check on unionbank they show in their website factor rate if you will transfer your balance to them, that’s transparency. ive been paying my hsbc for 5 years hindi matapos tapos tapos yun annual fee ayaw nilang tanggalin grrrrrrrr 0920-623-1116

hello,,you know i have a problem with that pay easy program of HSBC.my principal amount that had been enrolled to pay easy is P50k.before I had say yes to them when they ask me if I want to enroll to their pay easy program, i asked the customer service rep. many times,if I have P10,000 and pay it to my pay easy acoount, will it be deducted to the principal amount and he said yes,,he told me then to just pay and pay even its more than the amount of my monthly installment.. so that my 4years contract with them will be finished early..For 7months I am consistently paying my monthly installment which is almost P2,700.As to my dismay, when I call again the cust.service rep and I asked the same question she told me that if I will pay a bigger amount than my usual installment, it will be deducted to the principal amount+the interest…if i will sum up the whole amount its nearly 150k..its 3x my principal amount, how come it is called pay easy? what do you think will happen to me if I will just pay only the 24months installment and never finish the 48 months contract and of course they will cancell my account, can they send me to jail?please help me by answering this…I had been laid-off from my job last month.thank you
