Lego

I never thought that Lego toys are that expensive now.

Last week, Jenkins, Kulay and I went to Gaisano mall to buy a replacement for my lost cellphone. As always, our little man requested that we buy him a toy and he chose a Lego Spongebob Krusty Krab set. At 2, 500 pesos, I was apprehensive at first about buying the toy because it was so expensive. 2500 can buy several window blinds.

Later on, however, Jenkins and I decided to buy the toy because Kulay doesn’t have a lego yet. Hubby and I both know that Lego are one of those toys that can foster a child’s imagination and creativity. My brother and I also grew up playing with Lego and I guess my son deserves to have one too :-) .

Luckily, the toy was a good buy regardless of the price.  Kulay is learning how to follow visual instructions. He uses the manual to construct the Krusty Krab. My son is also learning how to create new things (alien cars, buildings for his dinosaur toys, etc) using the lego parts and bricks.

Other pluses:

I no longer have to deal with Kulay’s endless requests to play the gameboy because he stopped looking for it ever since he got his Lego. He also spends hours constructing cars or the krusty krab instead of asking me to let him watch TV.

I used to play lego when I was a kid, and I must agree that it’s really stimulating because they can let their imagination fly. My daughter prefers to play lego than watch tv. I love this toy LOL
