Luggage for the Singapore Trip
I have been a constant traveler especially when I was in college but traveling with my family is quite different and surprisingly far more exciting. We will be leaving for a family vacation in Singapore on October but as early as now (four months to go), everyone of us in the family is already excited. Our son Kulay always asks us if we are going to the Water World (in Sentosa) soon and hubby and I are always on the lookout for luggages that we will be using on our family trip.
I used to bring my jansport backpack with me when I travel alone and it can usually accommodate the things that I need but this sort of bag will not accommodate the three of us on our family vacation. I can still be naive when it comes to purchasing luggage bags (I just look at whether I will be comfortable bringing a particular bag or not) but thankfully there are shopping wikis online that provide tips on choosing and buying a luggage.
Shopwiki’s luggage buying guide, for example, has given me several tips when buying the luggage that we will be needing for our Singapore trip (and hopefully in other future travel and vacations). Here are some of them:
1. Buy bags with bigger zippers, these zippers are less likely to fall apart than smaller ones.
2. Compartments can help organize things (yep, compartments for soiled clothes; toys and gadgets)
Thanks for this buying guide, I am thinking of buying an upright luggage with wheels and with color that cannot get easily stained during travel. I hope we can afford to buy a Samsonite and a kid’s luggage for our son. We absolutely need good and durable traveling bags. Who knows? Hong Kong might be our next stop next year.
