My Domain Expired!

Ugh, this is horrible. I was trying to visit my tech blog today and instead of seeing my good old website and its greenish theme, I saw a page telling me that the domain has expired on November 27. I feel so so bad especially because this is one of my sites that earn from google adsense.

My hosting company did not even inform me. I purchased my hosting from them and the domain was given as a freebie. I do not actually know what the protocol is when renewing domains but at least they should have reminded me the way they remind me when I am about to exceed my bandwidth limit. I thought that as long as I am paying for the hosting, I will have the domain. I am paying monthly BTW.

I already sent a message to my web host. I hope my host will reply to me soon. I wanted my site back ASAP.

I reverted to paying monthly eversince I decided to get the multiple hosting. I was informed just yesterday that this no longer includes a free domain which explains the expiry. My other site in that hosting account is fine. Anyway still thumbs up to my host, I got my domain back faster than I thought. :-)

    Thanks for dropping by Kevin!

    Update,

Resolved na :-) this is my host’s comment on my site appearing and disappearing:

This happens when a domain is renewed or registered, because the settings have to get updated with all the internet service providers.

After 24 hours everything will be fine.

Also please delete the temporary internet files of your browser.
