Preparing for a Renovation

We have been considering a lot of add-ons and renovations in our house. For instance, a patio would really be a nice place to stay in our leisure time; a new master’s bedroom (a bigger one), a guest room, and a study room. To do this, we have considered freelance workmen to do the job but are having second thoughts as to the expense it would cause as opposed to a contract service like a contractor.

Some electric outlets in the kitchen area are not working and sometimes the lights that keeps blinking on and off. We then decided to re-wire the entire house and to hire electric contractors to prevent future damages at a considerable expense.

Another problem we have is termite infestation. I think the house was built over a termite mound because every rainy season, the pests just crawl  out of the floor from under the cabinets. Sometimes, they nest at the lowest portion of the cabinet and as a result destroy some of our belongings stashed under it. We placed home pest control in our checklist and hope to find a good one.

Fortunately, nothing is wrong with our house’s plumbing. However, we would still hire one of those plumbing repair service just in case there is something that we overlooked and plan the best location for a bathroom in the bedroom.
