I have been looking for the website of the Philippine Artisan since last week. The Philippine Artisan is the student publication of the Technological University of the Philippines- Manila.
The reason why I am looking for the site is for me to know what is going on with TUP’s student publication. I am also hopeful that I will be able to know the whereabouts of former editors and staff members of the Artisan. I am particularly looking for Grace Nulud, Joel Caligan and Danilo Sindac.
BTW I belong to the 1996-1998 batch of writers. I was the Associate editor for Heengleesh (hehe). Thanks to friendster, I was able to trace up most of my fellow Artisans:
Paul Radon Panlilio. Convergy’s engineer Paul Panlilio actually lost the Artisan Nikon Camera (hakhakhak!) but I best remember him as the geek who would reset the artisan pc password by twisting and plucking some wires in the CPU.
Noel Sanchez. I always quarrel with Noel because we often write about the same commentary without even knowing the other has already written about the same subject. There was a time when I wrote an english commentary on the SCUAA and Noel made a Filipino commentary. His article actually looked like a Filipino translation of my article! Noel (are you an engineer now?) doesnt seem to know how to reply to friendster messages, peace noel!
Edmir Lagui. Ahhh! Edmir remains to be among the most intellectual beings I interact with. He is starting his online business anytime soon.
Alex Saladas. Alex is the boy wonder from Masbate. We were actually close because both of us can understand bisaya. It also happened that Alex belonged to the first batch (?) of DOST scholars in TUP and I was a DOST BS scholar (yeah, believe it or not, I was a DOST scholar hahahaha!). Alex hasn’t added me to his yahoo messenger contacts yet , grrrr!)
Engelbert Omolida. My best buddy who always wished some guy would fall in love with me. Somebody did Engel, somebody did!!! I think Engel is now co owner of globe and smart because he always sends me text messages. He has three mobile numbers I think.
Dalmacia Farne. Ey Nips, howarya? Nips was the culprit why I was not able to receive one of my salaries. Nips was in charge of ordering the food for a writing workshop that was participated in by only 20 people*. Unfortunately Nips ordered the caterer to serve food (lunch and merienda) good for 100 people. We ate and brought home all that Nips ordered but we also paid for it. That was 600 off my salary Nips!!
I am thinking of creating a yahoo group to look for the Artisan people and communicate with them regularly. Any reaction or comment Artisans?
* As far as I can remember

hoyessa! a group would be good. why don’t we do it in multiply.com? we can reach them out sooner than you think. at least i have 7 artisanos in my yahoo mail.
whaddyathingymajigy?
uhm mir, I am not familiar with multiply. I am thinking of having a yahoo group something so sending messages to current and former members of the artisan would be easier. “Lost” artisan people can also easily join. What about me taking charge of the email group and you take charge of multiply? Just give me the email ads of the artisans but beware, I am a spammer ho!ho!ho!
