In 1999, it was reported that 5 Filipino women who went to Japan were forced to undress and have sex with Japanese clients in front of other customers (source)
What can we do?
- Support anti-trafficking legislations (What is trafficking in relation to modern day pinoy slavery?)
- Create awareness on the existence of the problem
- Be part of advocacies against human trafficking
- Report illegal recruiters to POEA
