Last year, one of the topics covered in my son’s preschool is about community helpers. Among those my 4 year old son commonly refer to as community helpers are doctors, teachers, policemen and firemen. They are popular community helpers perhaps because they are those that children easily see as helpers in building better and functional communities.

Lawyers may be unpopular community helpers but they too are crucial in building a better community. Lawyers, for example, are helpful in settling disputes among community members. There are also lawyers that help in transferring land and title ownership and those that facilitate in criminal disputes. And fyi, there are also cerebral palsy lawyers.
