White Blog Themes and Templates
I maintain several sites. I may have varying layout and niche preferences in my different blogs but there is one common thing that can be noticed in all of my blogs: I always use white wordpress themes and white blogger templates. (If I may have a blog that uses a template that is in another color other than a white background or layout, that blog is not active). As to why I prefer using white backgrounds in my blog themes, the following are the reasons:
1. Using darker themes, particularly a black template, will discourage my site visitors from reading my blog posts. I do not use black blog themes/templates because reading a blog or website with a black background is like reading a book printed in black papers. Of course I haven’t read a black book yet but the poor readability of texts printed in black paper is perhaps one of the reasons why publishers do not print books in black paper and white ink.
2. It is much easier to blend my google ads when I use a white background in my blog designs. I tried using other colors as background for my blog templates but they make my google ads look non- organic. The color of the google adsense blocks will either appear as lighter or darker than the background color of my blog template.
